Dunkles Granatrot, klar, schöne Schlieren. Dunkle Beeren im Bouquet, Lakritze im Geschmack. Langer Abgang.

Parker: The 1995 reveals an opaque purple color, followed by a sweet, cassis-scented nose intermingled with roasted herbs and spicy oak. One of the more tannic, backward 1995s, with a 1986-like density, richness, and full-bodied power, this slowly evolving, giant-sized St.-Julien will test the patience of all but the most serious Bordeaux wine enthusiasts. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2030. 91 Punkte

Helles Granat, ausreichend Schlieren. Feines Bouquet, fruchtig, gemüsig. Im Geschmack etwas dünn und im Abgang säuerlich.

Parker: The 1995 Cote Rotie Cuvee Classique possesses a black raspberry and violet-scented nose, a fabulous saturated ruby/purple color, excellent ripeness, and density, and a long, medium-bodied, crisp finish. The acidity gives the wine vibrancy. This wine should drink well for at least a decade. 88 Punkte

Dunkles klares Rubin, extremes Glycerin. Dunkelbeerig gemüsiges Bouquet. Extrem konzentriert, starker Abgang. Heiß, großer Wein.

Parker: I have tasted the terrific 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape five times since bottling, and it gets better with each tasting. It possesses a saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a sensational nose of pepper, roasted herbs, smoked meats, cassis, and black cherries. On the palate, this backward wine displays layers of concentrated ripe fruit, with enough acidity and tannin to provide definition. This is an extraordinary, powerful, intensely-flavored Chateauneuf du Pape with awesome aging potential. It will be delicious after another 2-3 years of bottle age, and should keep for 20 years. Wow! 94 Punkte

Hell, sehr klares Granat, Glycerinorgie. Zuerst Frucht, dann Holz im Bouquet. Schöne Struktur, fruchtiger Abgang.

Parker: The medium ruby-colored Vosne-Romanee Les Beaumonts (aged in 40% new oak) reveals scents of rose petals and red cherries. Lively ripe red berries are embedded in a silky-textured and medium-bodied, elegant and lively crafted wine. Delicious to drink, this wine will be better between 2000-2007. 89 Punkte

Mittleres Granat, schöne Schlieren. Stinkerl mit Süßton. Extremes Tannin mit starker Frucht dahinter. Schöner Abgang. Anmerkung: Solo kaum trinkbar, zum Lungenbraten excellent.

Parker: From the southern most of Nuits' litany of premier cru vineyards, the Nuits-St.-Georges Les St. Georges is an austere, four-square wine with flavors of minerals, stones and dark berries. Oily-textured and chewy, this highly-concentrated wine possesses an extremely long finish and a super-structured core. It will be at its best between 2002-2010. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29. The wine was tasted from cask, not bottle. Pinot Noir, a fragile varietal, reacts poorly to fining, filtration, and careless bottling techniques, I recommend caution when considering buying a red burgundy based on cask samples. I called it as I tasted it, and hope the bottled wine reflects the quality of the samples I was provided.

Schwarzes Rubin, brillant, fette Schlieren. Massiv dunkelbeeriges Bouquet. Fette Lakritze im Geschmack, extrem langer Nachgeschmack

Parker: A fabulous effort, the 1995 is Pichon-Lalande's greatest wine since the outstanding back to back vintages of 1982 and 1983. The opaque purple color resembles ink. The wine boasts a knock-out, super-charged nose of jammy black fruits, minerals, licorice, spice, and smoke. Well-endowed, with fabulously concentrated, pure flavors, a layered personality, and a chewy mid-section, this is one of the great wines of this excellent vintage. This wine's compelling purity, extract, and aromatic profile will make it appealing in its youth, but the size, balance, and depth suggest 25 years of aging is possible. Anticipated maturity: 1999-2020. 94 Punkte

Klares Granat, mittlere Schlieren. Beerig fruchtiges Bouquet. Mittlerer Körper, dunkelbeerig mit mineralischem Ton. Langer Nachgeschmack

Parker: The 1995 Hermitage La Sizeranne is performing even better out of bottle than it did immediately prior to bottling. It is a full-bodied, dense ruby/purple-colored wine with a sweet, smoky, chocolate, cassis, and tar-scented nose, great fruit intensity, full body, a layered texture, sweet tannin, and good grip. It should be cellared for a minimum of 4-5 years, and will keep for 15-20. 92 Punkte

Mittleres klares Granat, fettes Glycerin. Massiv fruchtiges rauchiges Bouquet mit Moccaton. Volles Maul, schöner Abgang.

Parker: This wine has put on significant weight and fat, in addition to developing a degree of opulence that I would not have thought possible. It reveals an opaque purple color, a seamless, sweet, rich, full-bodied, stunningly seductive, profound flavor profile, and a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds. The inner-core of richness, outstanding purity, and gorgeously-layered palate are impressive. Moreover, the wine's acidity, alcohol, and tannin are remarkably well-integrated. This should result in one of the vintage's finest wines. 92 Punkte

Zum Essen:

Genereller Eindruck:

Burgund: Armand Pommard Epenaux, Chevillion Nuits St. Georges Les Cailles, Chevillion Nuits St. Georges Les Vaucrains/Grivot Nuits St. Georges Les Boudots?

Bordeaux: Noch offen, 6 Flaschen sollten es sein.
