Verkostungsnotiz Juni 2008:
1992 Pillot, Champs Gain,
Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru, Burgundy, France: 92 |
Bright yellow gold, nuts &
dried flowers in the nose, medium body, clean, crisp acidity, silky
persistent tannins. Quite enjoyable. |
1982 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France: 90 |
Dusty light ruby. Mellow
liquorice, some dark fruit. Medium body, mellow fruit, some acidity, soft
tannins. Aftertaste clean velvety. Performance not according to name and
vintage - may be decanting was not such a good idea. |
1997 Heidi Schröck, Kulm,
Blaufränkisch, Rust/Burgenland, Austria: 86 |
Light garnet with violet hue. Soft
mature red fruit. Slim body, quite thin in the middle, acidity dominating,
tired fruit, low tannins. Whenever I see an older Blaufränisch vintage I go
for it - sometimes rewarding, sometimes not. This time rather not. |
1998 Mauro, Ribera del Duero, Ribera del Duero, Spain: 91 |
Dark ruby, fat tears. Grinded
nutmeg or whiff of brett with dark berries. Medium full body, soft dark
fruit, acidity and tannins well integrated, persistent velvety tannins. Nice
but not great. |
1996 Rolet, Vin Jaune, Arbois, Jura, France: 83 |
Slightly dusty yellow green, dry
sherry nose, slim body, acidity dominating. Not very attractive. |
2003 Siro Pacenti, Brunello Di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy: 88 |
Light brilliant ruby, thin dark
fruity nose, dusty, sligthly oxidized. Medium body, mellow dark red fruit,
some acidity, some harsh tannins. Long finish, sweet dark red fruity
persistent tannins in the aftertaste, slightly hot. Not this exciting. |
2003 Biondi-Santi, Il Greppo, Brunello Di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy: 92 |
Medium garnet, clean nose, medium
body, nice balance, good acidity. Versatile with food. Back on track again? |
1999 Radikon, Ribolla Gialllo, Collio, Italy: 86 |
Amber golden, slightly dusty.
Sweet perfumed floral nose. Medium body, hint of medium dry Sherry, tad
sweet. Medium long finish, some tannins in the end. Seems a bit odd for a
white wine - if you don't know this is fermented on the skins and made
without sulphur. |
2005 Schloss Halbturn, Pinot Noir, Neusiedlersee, Austria: 90 |
Medium ruby, bright. Red fruit
with toasted oak. Medium full body, clean red fruit, tannins mellowed by
medium toasted oak, good acidity. Medium long finish, rather nice
international Pinot Noir. |
2006 Dauvissat, Irancy, Burgundy, France: 86 |
Light garnet, bright. Clean red
fruit in the nose. Slim body, clean red fruit according to nose, good
acidity, tad of silky tannins. Medium long finish, clean aftertaste. My wine
for summer again - simple and clean. |
